Diet for weight loss

Diet for weight loss ,is one of the most significant things to be taken care,if one has to loose weight.along with walking diet is supposed to be important.so diet is becoming a problem for me.Me cant resist good food.I have been trying for the past some weeks to control my food.My I taste buds demand more spice ,oil,butter and all other fatty stuff and in loads.

Well taking white oats for breakfast,but failed miserably.How can a person having all those lovely pooris and dosas,eat his oats .It sucks.Well my friend told me one does not have to sacrifice too much.Just reducing the quantity is enough it seems.I think i have told you these things, in an earlier posting.Well,what to do a foodie on a diet will go bonkers.
I walked today and had only 3 idlis(steamed rice cakes,an indian food).My stomach may get angry with me today.hHope i take a reduced intake of my lunch.

walk for health

Back after a long gap.Still I am bent upon loosing weight.Walking seem to be the one thing which i seem to do well.Its really refreshing.It was tough for a few days.Walking it seems is good for
cardiovascular system.And meeting friends during morning walks is fun.

Iam waking up daily early in the morning around 5.30 am.Only problem is that u tend to have some sleepy feeling during the day time and you feel like sleeping after you caome back from walk.HMM the problems a new walker hast face is enormous.My hnt for a good yoga centre is still going on.I think I have lost a kilo.Any way its encouraging.catch you all atomorrow

Sugar substitutes calorie reduction

One thing I learned about loosing weight is loosing calories or burning calories. Not only loose calories but also reduce the intake of calories. One way of reducing calorie intake is using artificial sweeteners in tea and coffee as we have them at regular intervals. Saccharin, Aspartame, Sucralose are some of the forms of artificial sweeteners or sugar substitutes. I have decided to go in for one of them.

So today I walked for 50 minutes. A great improvement. Reduced the intake of lunch. Hey I do feel hungry early. My stomach rumbles without my regular intake of snacks. So I am going to reduce calorie intake by using some form of sweetener. Catch you tomorrow.

New walking shoes - Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Puma, Fila???

It is one thing that I am very particular about. My foot wear. I was wearing a sneaker which was sort of out of sorts for walking. I was hunting for one which makes me comfortable for walking and also stylish and of course not too expensive.
So my foot wear hunting started the day I decided to loose weight. Because easiest thing to do was walking and only expense was good shoe for walking and exercise.

And what an array of shoes and brand galore. One is better than the other and the price tags Ahhhhhhh!!!! While one has air, the other has spring, another has shock absorber on even had a small red light. Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Puma, Fila what not the brands galore and so do the show rooms. I was really confused.

Finally I entered a Bata show room and there she was. Very simple, but looked complex, not expensive at all. POWER shoes. Was very comfortable. I brought it.

So, today morning exercise was with my new found power. It was fun. I was sort of floating. I was walking fast. Walking shoes are walking shoes. Hope I walk away my calories and loose weight before the shoe becomes slim. Happy day everybody. Is somebody reading my blabbering or I am just using Blogger as a note pad? hmmm..

Slimming diet

Diet seems to be the buzz word if you want to reduce your weight. Diet, fat, oil etc., seem to be the key for weight reduction. Reduce food intake. Eat more of fruits, vegetables. Avoid oil. Being a foodie my head is buzzing. How can I sacrifice all the goodies I have been having. Sugar is a no no it seems (god). I think I will become a grass eating cow or sheep. Any way another day started with oats and orange juice. It said that we can have bit and pieces of good food in between lunch and breakfast (no chocolates and fizz drinks).

Any way feeling slightly at ease with walking. Tried to do some abdomen exercises. Looked at the mirror to look for any changes in my body.(nothing visible) except pain of abdomen muscles.

Any way I will have to get in to some routine exercise, yoga and diet with 40 minutes of walk. Catch you all tomorrow.

Yoga for weight reduction

Well, woke up early (laziness still there). Went for a walk. Increased to 35 minutes. Still slow. Met a colleague of mine. A trim one. Had to keep pace with his walking. He said that one has to walk for a minimum of 40 minutes for a few calories to be burnt. Well, any way I walked for 35 minutes successfully (whew).

He taught me some abdomen exercises to reduce my tummy. God, I never knew I was so fat. I looked like a comedian. And the pain in my legs after two days of walking.. god, I never knew there were so many muscles.

Another thing is I am going to take up yoga. Looked for information on what sort of yoga to do. Yoga for weight reduction. There are many choices. Find a good yoga guru who can train you for specific period of time. One can also go to "Art of living" or "Isha yoga" or any other power yoga programs which are also supposed to be very effective. I'll have to gather information about them.

Any way I will do it tomorrow. I will have to start thinking about some weight reduction diet. I have started with having oats for breakfast (Yuck!). Ah! its paining. Catch you all tomorrow.
